Justice and Human Rights
SSHJM missionary development projects embed and mainstream human rights within them, in line with their social justice agenda. WACFO predominantly focus on rights related to our key themes including disability rights and access to quality inclusive education, health, and climate resilience agricultural activities for all.

Given our long-term presence on the ground, we are well placed to identify and understand rights from a local perspective. We strive to leave no one behind and elevates the importance of rights, equality and non-discrimination.

The community are sensitized to create awareness on their roles in supporting children with disabilities and to meet their basic needs e.g. education, food, clothing and activities of daily living. Advocacy campaigns that target local leaders, key stake holders and duty bearers are conducted in schools and communities, to protect and promote the rights of children with disabilities and to support disability inclusion services in the various sectors of local governments through policy formulation.

About this theme
WACFO is committed to reducing human rights violations in the community and enlightening impoverished community members about their rights, which must be respected. Promoting human rights awareness is essential to fostering a just and equitable society where every individual's rights are upheld and protected.
